Meningitis Now commissioned Chrysalis Research to review the impact of its work with young people affected by meningitis.

The review informed their bid for BIG Lottery's Reaching Communities grant. We looked at historical and collected new evaluation evidence for their four activity strands:

  • Believe and Achieve – weekends for young people and their families to connect with others affected by meningitis.
  • Young Ambassadors – panel of young people affected by meningitis who develop skills and confidence by campaigning, fundraising and awareness-raising.
  • Counselling service – counsellors appointed to work with young people (and adults) as required.
  • Youth microsite and social media – information and support for young people affected by meningitis.

Our report was well received by the Lottery and helped Meningitis Now successfully secure their grant.
